1. Acceptance

By creating an account on Umema, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.

2. Your account

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• You must provide accurate and truthful information when registering
• You may not use Umema for any unlawful purpose
• You may not impersonate any other person or entity

3. Bookings and payments

• All bookings are subject to the rates set by the home organiser
• Umema is a platform connecting home members, agents, and guests. Actual payment arrangements are between the relevant parties
• Umema does not guarantee availability of any home

4. Prohibited conduct

You may not:

• Use Umema to harass, abuse, or harm any person
• Upload or transmit any malicious code or content
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform
• Use the platform for commercial purposes without written consent

5. Limitation of liability

Umema provides the platform on an "as is" basis. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, or property damage arising from home bookings made through the platform.

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Umema after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
